Mamata Banerjee :In the emergency cabinet meeting, the state has decided to appoint staff to multiple posts including workmates. A cabinet meeting was organized in Navanna yesterday i.e. Thursday. According to the sources, on that day four departments of Navanna i.e. Home, Health, Environment and Finance have decided to hire staff for multiple posts. Currently Dana Cyclone is raging across the state. The state is struggling to cope with the situation due to lack of sufficient staff in government offices. So the state has decided to hire staff in a hurry.

An emergency cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was held last Thursday to review the situation in Cyclone Dana. On that day, the Chief Minister examined several departments and decided that Home, Health, Environment and Finance departments need to hire staff on an urgent basis. So as soon as possible staff should be appointed in four departments. A total of 100 staff will be appointed in health, environment and finance departments, sources said. On the other hand, a total of 57 workers will be appointed as work friends.
In today’s cabinet meeting, it was decided that the state is going to take a loan of 1500 crore rupees from the State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, with this money various agricultural development projects of the state will be implemented. Also in the meeting that day green signal was given for the construction of a 660 MW supercritical power plant under Durgapur Power Limited.

For quite some time, many complaints have been filed in the state government office about the black market of fertilizers. As a result, farmers have to buy fertilizers at higher prices. The government has taken new steps to stop this black market of fertilizer in the district. In the meeting, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee directed the Agriculture Department to investigate the matter. He said that the black market should be stopped by carrying out the investigation process quickly.
